CURRENT COMMUNITY PROJECTS

ALLO FIBER

In 2024, Allo Fiber officially arrived in Lake Havasu City, AZ, marking a significant upgrade in the community’s internet infrastructure. Installation of the fiber-optic network began in early spring, with service rolling out to residents and businesses by mid-summer.

The launch brought ultra-fast and reliable internet, transforming connectivity for activities like streaming, gaming, remote work, and business operations. With speeds up to 1 Gbps and a commitment to customer satisfaction, Allo Fiber's arrival was celebrated as a game-changer for Lake Havasu City’s digital future.

The project has resulted in a $60 million investment into the fiber optic future of Lake Havasu.

SECOND BRIDGE (ISLAND DISTRICT)

Lake Havasu City is advancing plans to construct a second bridge, over the Bridgewater Channel to alleviate congestion on the historic London Bridge—the sole access point to the island. Aiming to enhance traffic flow, support economic development, and improve emergency vehicle access. The project expected to span three years. City officials anticipate that the second bridge will accommodate the city's growth and provide residents and visitors with improved access to the island's amenities. The bridge is expected to be completed by 2027.

DOWNTOWN EVENT CENTER

Lake Havasu City owns an approximately 1.5-acre parcel of land in the downtown area located at the corner of McCulloch Boulevard and Querio Drive.  This location was purchased by the City in 2017 as the location for a Downtown Catalyst Project. The Downtown Catalyst Project was identified as part of the City’s Vision 20/20 Plan. This plan was a major contributing factor to the city winning second place in the Frontier Communications America’s Best Communities (ABC) competition.

The downtown event center will host premiere events like Desert Storm and Winterfest, along with community events such as First Friday. This project is scheduled to be open in April 2025.
